Imagine the Possibilities DJ Jazzy Jeff Reel Contest Terms and Conditions

Eligibility:

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. 
  2. The contest is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
  3. Hawaiian Telcom employees, or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies and their immediate family and household members are not eligible to participate.
  4. By entering, winners certify that they meet all eligibility requirements


Entry Requirements:

  1. Participants must create and submit a dance or lyric reel using the original DJ Jazzy Jeff Pure Imagination remix audio posted on Hawaiian Telcom’s Instagram page.
  2. The dance or lyric reel must be original content and should not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyright or trademark.
  3. Participants must post their dance or lyric reel on their personal Instagram account (must be public) with the designated contest hashtag #imaginethepossibilities and tag @hawaiiantelcom.
  4. Only one entry per person is permitted.


Contest Period:

  1. The contest begins on 5/23/23 and ends on 6/18/23 at 11:59pm HST.
  2. Entries submitted before or after the contest period will not be considered.


Winner Selection:

  1. 1 Winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the contest period. Odds of winning are dependent on the number of valid entries. 


Prizes:

  1. The prize(s) for the contest will be $1,000 VISA cash gift card, DJ Jazzy Jeff merchandise (value of up to $500), recording studio time at Island Sound Studio (value of up to $500), or gift card to Music Center of Hawaii (value of $100).
  2. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  3. Hawaiian Telcom reserves the right to substitute the prize(s) with an alternative of similar value at its sole discretion.


Winner Announcement and Notification:

  1. The winner will be notified directly via private message or email within 3 days after the winner selection. Hawaiian Telcom shall have no responsibility for any failed message notification due to any spam filter, internet malfunction or any other reason beyond the reasonable control of Hawaiian Telcom.
  2. If the winner fails to respond within 3 days of the notification, Hawaiian Telcom reserves the right to select an alternate winner(s).
  3. Failure to submit required consent form within 3 days of notification will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prize.
  4. Final winner will be announced publicly on Hawaiian Telcom’s Instagram page via stories.

Publicity Release:

  1. By participating in the contest, participants grant Hawaiian Telcom the right to use their names, image, recordings, likeness, social media handles, and submitted dance and lyric reels for promotional purposes, without any further compensation or notice.


Rights Ownership:

  1. Participants retain ownership of the intellectual property rights to their submitted dance or lyric reels.
  2. However, by entering the contest, participants grant Hawaiian Telcom a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and modify their dance reels for promotional purposes.

 

General Conditions:

  1. By entering this Contest, all entrants and participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.
  2. Hawaiian Telcom reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates the contest terms and conditions or engages in fraudulent activity.
  3. Hawaiian Telcom is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries, or other errors that may occur during the contest.
  4. Hawaiian Telcom reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest in its sole discretion.
  5. Hawaiian Telcom reserves the right to disqualify any submission that is a duplicate of a prior submission, infringes another party’s intellectual property rights, or is lewd, or indecent, contains expressions of hate, malice, racism, misogyny, or is otherwise distasteful or objectionable in Hawaiian Telcom’s sole discretion.
  6. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. This contest is void outside of the 50 United States/D.C./Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.
  7. The contest is not sponsored, administered, or associated with Instagram.


Prize Conditions:
Prize is nontransferable, assignable and holds no real cash value. Prize or any of the components may not be redeemed for cash or credit at any time.  All applicable federal, state or local tax and all other expenses related to acceptance and/or use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Prize winner must be 18 years of age. No substitutions or partial substitutions allowed except at the sole discretion of Hawaiian Telcom.

Limitations of Liability:
Hawaiian Telcom make no warranties, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties, express or implied, concerning any prize furnished in connection with the contest. By participating, entrants agree that Hawaiian Telcom and its affiliates will have no liability whatsoever, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the contest or acceptance, possession or use of any prize(s). Hawaiian Telcom is not responsible for prize quality. Neither Hawaiian Telcom or its affiliates are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any service, or any other error or malfunction, or for late, stolen, lost, postage due, illegible or misdirected entries or mail.  Activity deemed abusive by Hawaiian Telcom, in its sole discretion, will result in disqualification of the entrant from the contest.  WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, SUCH PRIZES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND THE PROMOTION ENTITIES HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL SUCH WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND/OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
